2. Data we do NOT collect

Islam Heritage is a tool that runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store or transmit any of the following information:

• Your personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
• The data you enter in the calculator
• The value of your estate
• Your family composition
• Your calculation results

Everything stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.

3. Local storage (LocalStorage)

To improve your experience, we use your browser's local storage (LocalStorage) to temporarily save your calculations. This data:

• Stays only on your device
• Is never transmitted to our servers
• Is automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity
• Can be cleared at any time via the "New calculation" button

4. URL sharing

When you use the "Share" feature, your calculation data is encoded directly in the URL. This means that:

• The data is visible in the shared URL
• Only people you share the link with can see this data
• No data is stored on our servers

Warning: Do not share these links publicly if you want to keep your estate information private.

5. Cookies

Islam Heritage uses technical cookies necessary for the service (local calculation storage) and audience analytics cookies to understand site usage and improve it.

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies. This will not affect the use of the calculator.

6. Third-party services

Our site is hosted by DigitalOcean. DigitalOcean may collect technical data for security and performance purposes (IP address, browser type, etc.).

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access: obtain a copy of your data
• Right to rectification: correct your data
• Right to erasure: delete your data
• Right to portability: retrieve your data

Since we do not store any personal data on our servers, these rights mainly apply to data stored locally in your browser, which you can delete at any time.

We take security seriously:

• Secure HTTPS connection across the entire site
• No transmission of sensitive data
• Auditable open source code
